Wow he looks very competitve. He should probably want to be more involved in science and math clubs and try to get some leadership positions. also he shouldve done well in chemistry and math last year and the first semester of his senior year. Whats his ethnicity?

Thank you! He has done well in Chemistry (A's in Chem honors and AP Chem) He really just loves that subject. Math too has been very strong-all honors and AP classes with almost all A's. Ethnicity is U.S. citizen/Caucasian.

Ask your son where he wants to go. See what he wants to do. I think its a bit silly for a parent to post a chance me thread for a his or her child (i think all chance me threads are silly for that matter).

Have your son apply to princeton if he likes it. If you want help about chances, talk to his college counselor or somebody at his school. Nobody here is going to tell you if your kid is
going to get in or not. I would be livid if my parents posted my stats and just treated me as numbers and were posting chance me threads.

Thank you SO much for your helpful reply! You must be new to CC as many ask questions in order to help their kids. Next time, please just scroll on by.

He's qualified, but lots of kids are similarly qualified. Some will be accepted, most won't. If his fencing is good enough for him to be recruited, he's in for sure, but he'd have to be VERY good for that.

While there's nothing unusual or improper about a parent helping their kid here, I agree that chance threads are pointless and a little silly. But people wonder and it's natural to ask opinions.

Good luck to your son.

Thank you for your thoughts. They are much more helpful. As for the chance me threads, they really are integral to CC. Whether we like them or not, it is interesting to note the responses. I am not new to this and I have checked with my son on his interests and choices. But, the climate changes from year to year. And, quite honestly, no one knows how the barometer is reading better than those that have gone before and more recently. So, thank you again for your helpful post, and remember that most of what is shared on CC is just for fun.
