Using the same essays for multiple Ivy's

The Penn Supplement: Which are you (immovable, movable, one that moves)
Princeton: Use a quote that helped you define one of your values or changed how you approach the world.
Harvard: Additional Essay of Choice

The Penn essay that I wrote can fit into either one of the supplements. I talk about an experience and how I view my place in this world and who I am. But it is obvious that this essay came from Penn's supplement...is this okay or should I change it significantly.

My son, who was accepted last year to Princeton, submitted the same supplemental essay to all 10 colleges that he applied to. For Princeton, he just added an appropriate quote to the top of his essay. So, yes, many students do repurpose their essays, and it works out for them. I imagine that many also do the same and it doesn't work out. Much depends on the quality of the essay.
