Social Life at Princeton, Dartmouth and Stanford

It goes without saying that all three of these universities provide a phenomenal undergraduate education. I am interested in the social atmosphere of these schools. I always thought the social life at Princeton would be dead. I am Facebook friends with some kids at Princeton and I'm shocked to see how much fun they are having. Lots of frat party, beer drinking pics. I am certainly not going to school expecting to get drunk every night but I would like to have plenty of social options on the weekend. Any and all info people have on the social climate of these schools is appreciated!!!

Princeton definitely has enough going on to suit your desires. I don't know much about Stanford, but I've heard that Dartmouth's social scene is pretty much restricted to the wild fraternity/sorority scene. Princeton's eating club scene, in my opinion, is more welcoming and allow you to party as much or as little as you want.

When and if you want to party, you'll find ample opportunity at any of these three schools. That said, Dartmouth is smaller and a tad remote, so its social scene is necessarily more insular. They don't lack for fun though.

I guess it has to do with how you define fun. Dartmouth most drinking and very hard partying. Frat scene. Stanford seems like more of a mix, drink or not. Princeton clubs come in different varieties so you seem to be able to find your niche.
