Chancey Chance Chance?

I recently came back from the Princeton Humanities Symposium and fell in love with Princeton. It's now my top choice, so I'm planning on applying Early Action.

Objective:
- SAT I: 2310 (800 M, 760 CR, 750 W)
- ACT: N/A
- SAT II: 790 Math II, 710 Physics (Planning on retaking this Saturday...wish me luck!)
- Unweighted GPA: 3.88 (Cringe...I know this is a little low: I had 3 B's Sophomore year and 2 Junior year; how do you think this will impact my admission?)
- Weighted GPA: 4.51
- Rank: 6/~700 (Our school doesn't send the rank, but they will send in the percentage)
- AP: European History (5), Art History (5), Physics B (5), Computer Science (5), Calculus AB (5), Statistics (4), U.S. Government (4), Comparative Government (5), Environmental Science (5), Language and Composition (5)
- Senior Year Course Load: AP Lit, AP Bio, APUSH, AP Econ, French IV, Honors Chem, gym
- Major Awards: National Merit Semifinalist (maybe Finalist later), 4th and 5th place in categories of international art competition...not much else

Subjective:
- Extracurriculars: Science Olympiad (Founder and President), Debate (Public Forum Captain), Mock Trial (Co-President), NHS, Young Liberal's Club, I own a bracelet store on Etsy (made a significant amount of money), JV Tennis
- Job/Work Experience: Just my store on Etsy (Junior Year - now)
- Volunteer/Community service: Volunteer at St. Luke's Hospital, Assistant in dance, math, etc. at local Chinese School
- Summer Activities: lol where do I begin...
- (Freshman) Went on People to People leadership summit at Harvard, Debate camp
- (Sophomore) Researched at WashU on nanotechnology, went to Europe, went to Missouri Innovation Academy (Selective, ~25 chosen in state)
- (Junior) Research at plant center, debate camp
- Essays: Still in progress (in that edit, throw away, start again mode), but they're probably going to be about how making my store has really changed me and how it makes me unique
- Recs: Expect them to be pretty good, but not blow away amazing
- Supplement: I'm sending an art supplement with my paintings

Other:
- State: Missouri
- School Type: Pretty competitive, large public school (top 5 in state)
- Ethnicity: Asian
- Gender: Female
- Income Bracket: 200,000+
- Hooks: Went to Princeton Humanities Symposium...I heard that helps a lot...idk

THANKS FOR LOOKING I REALLY REALLY APPRECIATE IT

You're qualified. Some applicants with similar profiles are accepted, many are rejected. It could go either way. Good luck.

You are a qualified student, but so are about 80% of all applicant's.

One of the reasons that it's impossible to chance candidates for admissions, is that so much of the applications process is subjective. Selective colleges really do read everything in your file, paying close attention to your teacher recommendations, guidance counselor report and essays -- all items not included in your post.

This five part interview with Janet Lavin Rapelye, Princeton's Dean of Admissions, will give you an idea of the process involved:
Part 1: Answers From Princeton's Dean of Admission - NYTimes.com
Part 2: Answers From Princeton's Dean of Admission - NYTimes.com
Part 3: Answers From Princeton's Dean of Admission - NYTimes.com
Part 4: Answers From Princeton's Dean of Admission - NYTimes.com
Part 5: Answers From Princeton's Dean of Admission - NYTimes.com

Best of luck to you.

I don't usually post on these kinds of threads, but I think with thoughtful essays, you'll be more interesting than 90% of the applicants I've seen posting chance threads on here.

At the same time, admissions is a crapshoot, but I wish you the best of luck.

I know this is a little late, but thanks for the replies! I'm getting a little paranoid, but it's almost the deadline, so nothing more we can do now.

Thanks!
