Well, what happens if they have people who leave at the last minute? Are they just going to let another open spot go, or will they actually try to fill it up? I have a friend who got in off the waitlist in July last year.
your friend got in to P in July, or another college? they might have officially closed the waitlist at different times in previous years. Either way, it's highly unlikely that anyone would "unmatriculate" at this time of year, and the 1,240 or whatever target class is just a general target and not an exact requirement so I'm pretty sure the fat lady has sung for this year.

Well, I guess this is goodbye. You know, I've always been rather fond of you. In fact my first word was "Princeton". Plus, I look particularly good in orange and black. But alas; I shall content myself with maroon.
