From penn? I just got a card in the mail welcoming to the class of 2012 and confirming the deposit. I think they contact you if they DON'T have something.
Can't wait until next year! The facebook board is seriously out of control... so much more exciting than any other college class haha
arjun... you got into wharton?! If I was interested in business, it seems to me that Wharton would be my first choice regardless... best business school in the country! Unless of course you aren't SURE you want to go into business..
congrats though!
i'm SO SORRY if somebody took the last post i wrote in here the wrong way
i didn't even mean it in a 'rub-it-in-your-face-if-you-haven't-heard' way
honestly, i was just trying to be welcoming to those who had just found out... and now i feel really guilty because i hate when i don't think and i say stupid things like that.
PS. I did email the office and they said that they were indeed accepting people off the waitlist (as if we didn't already know that), but they don't know exactly how many they will be taking off at this time and that the admittance process will continue into the end of June. So that is there official stance as of now.
"...Harvard plans to offer admission to 150 to 175 students on its waiting list, and Princeton and the University of Pennsylvania each expect to take 90..."
In case anyone is wondering I didn't send them any info or letters or anything.
Just checked "yes" on the reply card asking if I wanted to remain on the waitlist.
Still, don't think I'm gonna go despite Princeton being my dream school for two years. Dreams change and now I'm in love with Duke. It's funny how that happens...if I had been accepted initially I would have picked it in a heartbeat.
Everything has a purpose I suppose!
When did you get called (day and time) and what time zone do you live in?
Also, some schools call their candidates asking them if they are still interested, and then call them like later. Did this happen to you?
thankss!
