Although you may doubt my intentions as another waitlistee, I have to say thats one of the most mature things I've heard here. Congrats on picking what you truly want.

I got called at about 2:30pm today, pacific time (I live in California).

And no, this was my first call.

She said they would send me an acceptance letter and financial aid packet on monday, and that I have to call them on Friday with my decision.

The only way I think I will end up at Princeton is if their financial aid package beats Duke's price by $10,000 or more.
Duke offered me 0 financial aid (which was one of my biggest dilemmas when it came to choose), and according to my friend at Harvard whose parents have a similar income, she pays about the price she would to go to Berkeley.

i wanna get off the waitlist, if not, im going to stanford. but i have family in new jersey and i could visit my sister, and I like it a little more than stanford because of more undergrad focus and less of a focus on sports. It was my dream school forever, please take me off the waitlist...

i thot stanford was more popular...with better yield and better cross admit stat (qualities are essentially the same: theres no point of arguing over academics among HYSPM)

Keep in mind that not all 90 will say yes, so they may do a second round of calls.

I think Yale, Princeton, and Stanford have always had pretty close yields around 68-70%. Based on some quick searches, last year Stanford was up to 70 from 67 (and ended up having 70 more students than they were prepared for) while Princeton was down to 68 from 69. They fluctuate a little each year, but are still fairly consistent.

Question: Did anyone get a message, not an actual conversation.

I am asking because our phones don't work and I can only check the message machine.
