Thanks for the tips

I just realized that I made the same mistake I almost made on my app. I forgot to mention that I'm the President of the Chess Club. Perhaps that would add to my ECs, though to be honest it's a very small club.

put it down. be yourself. it will not hurt you, even if it helps only very little. it might be a small club, but you would seem to have at least devoted substantial effort to be chosen as president of it. also, you already appear nerdy as hell, with your magnet school and excellent scores and jazz band and academic decathlon etc etc etc. might as well be better at it.

hieronymus: how do you know they love 800 CRs?

A Princeton insider once said that the university looks to admit people who are strong in the English field. And if you look at the statistics you will notice that there are a lot of 800 CR admits.

I don't go to a magnet school.

And I'm definitely going to put it down because I mention it in one of my essays and I have a supplemental rec from the club supervisor.

hieronymus312: oh my goodness really?!? I am such a science nerd with like 7 credits of science way advanced for my school...but I am horribly horrible at English (640 CR score :-/, 660 W). I was going to apply science major anyway...now I'm seriously considering not applying.
