    Hey oldnite1,
I'm currently in IB and soon to be in my final year. I'm planning to apply to both HKU and HKUST for the BBA program or IBGM. Could you give me some information regarding the admission process and any possible information on IB? Thanks a lot!

    Hey man
I just got an official offer from HKUST!
My condition being at least a 5 in Math HL and 33 overall, which is quite manageable haha
I take Math HL, Music HL, Economics HL, and EngA1 SL, Physics SL, Mandarin Ab nitio SL.

Yeah so i think you should expect to hear from HKUST really soon. And yeah their Global Biz is so competitive but I heard it's considered really awesome once you're in. So good luck man! Now I'm just waiting for HKU :p we'll see how it turns out

    haha thanks for the reply!
I have pretty much similar scores as you and yet HKU isn't saying anything to me! It's quite unnerving. But well 35 doesnt sound bad at all so hope you'll just ace the exams! And I also take A1 Eng SL and Math HL so we'll see if they give out a similar condition.

Yeah I know there's growing number of koreans in HK but it'd be cool to see a lot of Korean there. To answer your question, I applied to Econ/Finance at HKUST. For HKU it was Econ/Finance and Quantitative Finance. In fact, I think I'll choose HKUST over HKU if i get into both. It's still tentative but I think it'd be really cool to have the sea right next to the campus :p so HKUST's email raised my hopes up and it's killing me that admissions people are so slow on this whole process haha

hey man i'm also a korean applying to HKU and HKUST from China. As you'd agree it's really hard to find relevant info on the net about these unis but i saw this thread. So you heard from HKUST after that nomination email yet? And I also applied to HKU around the same time as you but I havent heard a thing from them yet. Is it possible to tell me about your specs and your condition? I know it's random but your help will be greatly appreciated. we might as well end up in HK together so :p
