The early action notification for PC is Jan 1. This does not help when deciding where to apply regualr decision. Does anyone know if they really wait to the deadline?

I asked this question to admissions and it seemed that they WILL NOT send letters out during the holidays since they don't want to ruin anyones vacation, so there's a slight chance you will hear before then but most likely, you will hear back by new years.
