My son was nominated to receive telementoring from an Amherst College student. According to the website link to the winners, only 300 out of 5300 applicants got this.
However, we must send another separate application to be qualified before next spring.

Every winner was nominated for an all-expense-paid campus visit. However, you need to get the invitation from any of the partner colleges(who will pay this fee). Some of the partners colleges do not even offer this award

They invited some to College Admissions Conference and put others on waitlist which require to send another short essay to be qualified. My son is in the waitlist.

For the college summer program, they did pick some winners.
You will get the deny email if you are either not qualify or not apply for it.(My son did not apply for this one due to his high school summer internship.)
You are still have chance otherwise.(until May)

It looks like the winners for Quest for excellence award won't be announced until June except Fein Fellows.

Good luck!

Stanford Conference?

I was invited to the Stanford University Conference on May 12th, but I can't go do to economic reasons. I applied for the grant, but today I received an email that said that I didn't get it. I still don't want to give up, and I will try to fund-raise-but there is so little time that I don't think I can raise it. Anyways, my question is the following: Is it really worth attending the conference? What will I miss? I know it's a great opportunity, and I really want go. It's just that I live in Texas and it would be really expensive for me to go. Also I am asking this because one of my family members has some money saved which could cover most of the trip, but I would feel bad because I know they need it as well. Can someone who has been through this or knows someone please give me information or advice? Thank you.

Did anyone get a travel grant to the Northwestern conference? I received one but it is still not enough to cover the cost of attending. I guess I'll have to fundraise.

For the laptop, they will contact you and offer you 3 different options. One is they will buy it and send it to you, the other is you can have the money put in an account for one of the computer companies and then pick out the one you want, and I can't remember the 3rd right now. You can pay the difference for an upgrade if you chose to do so. It is a great reward to receive and you should be very proud of your accomplishments. QuestBridge was one of the best things to happen to my daughter, and we will be forever grateful for everything they have done for her!

if i didn't get any email concerning summer programs, is it safe to assume that i was just rejected??? i emailed questbridge a week ago, and they replied: "If you are selected for a scholarship to a college summer program, you'll be notified soon. If you do not hear from us, unfortunately you have not been selected. "

they're killing me with the wait!!
