Chance Thread

I didn't see a chance thread so I decided to make my own. Feel free to chance and place your stats here.

Unweighted GPA: 3.77-3.88
Weighted GPA: 3.9009

California Resident

Class Rank: Bottom half of the class. The top half all have above 4.00

African American ( I dislike putting my race when I talk about colleges since I hear people rant about how easy it will be for me to get into the colleges I want. I disagree greatly.)

SAT: 2100
SAT II: I will take Bio and USH in November.

AP's:
-English Lang & Comp.
-U.S. History
-Music Theory
-Stats(senior)
-Government(senior)
-Econ(senior)
Scores have not arrived for me yet but I am confidant I passed all my tests.

College Classes:
-French
-Biology
-Yoga* (summer)
-Sociology* (summer)
-Microbiology*(Senior)
-Geology(Senior)
*My school is very competitive so they do not calculate any extra college courses into the official GPA.

E-C's:
CSF(Lifetime member)
Academic Decathlon (3 years)
Forensics(2 years)
Film Club-President(1 year)
JSA-(2 years)
Saxophone-5+ years
* If my academics aren't enough, I was thinking of trying to get a music scholarship. Any thoughts?

Volunteering
Few hours here and there. I've never really counted.
5 week internship at my doctor
Hospital Volunteer & Trainer

Achievements
National Latin Exam Magna Cum Laude (Sophomore)
Regional Winner in Forensics (JV & V).

The only thing that I see really standing me out is my SAT and E-C's.
It's all I could think of. Thanks for the feedback.

Your class rank is low and your SAT score is solid, but not necessarily a plus. And Reed gets a lot of applicants from California.

That being said, a lot will depend on your essays. Write great essays, do well in school, and consider retaking the SAT.
