How significant is this

I have everything in for early decision and than realized yesterday that there is an error on my transcript. It has me ranked third when in reality I am actually ranked second. Is one ranking even going to make that much of an impact on the admissions committe? Should I even bother going into the counseling office and have them fix and send a brand new transcript? Or is it even worth my time? Thanks.

Well, the farther you go down in ranking, the less it matters. So like the difference between 42nd and 43rd is probably nothing, 1st and 2nd is big. At 2nd and 3rd I'd say its worth the effort.

In all honesty, it probably doesn't matter. However, if you don't get in, you will always wonder if that would have made the difference. So I'd say, go ahead and have your school send a note letting Rice know about the mistake. It shouldn't be too big a problem.
