Rice Application and Common Application + Supplement

Is it true that if I use the Rice application, it is one essay, but with Common Application and supplement it is two?

Also, does Interim decision conflict with restrictive early action at any schools? Thanks.

interim does not conflict with an EA policy unless the EA policy says you may not apply to any other early program....it says this on their FAQs on their site.

Yes. Rice App- one essay. Common App + supp- two. I checked with Admissions today. They did however say, that they are considered equally.

Actually, even at schools that say not to apply EA to other schools while ED at theirs will, in most cases, let you do interim. Well, i know this is true of a school in NJ that shall remain nameless. Check with others to make sure by emailing them.

yeah and for the rice app, there are additional short answers...so they're essentially equivalent in number of essays.
