| I don't think there are very many people who wouldn't say the college system. Other universities have college systems, but none are run quite like ours. For one thing, we don't have any freshman dorms. You are a member of your college from day one, so you get to meet all of the upperclassmen and get involved in the various projects, etc. Also, the colleges are completely student-run, which means that we don't take them for granted; it is a living space in which we are fully invested.
The colleges really lead to a collaborative, healthy, family-like atmosphere in nearly every aspect of Rice life. Nearly everything great about Rice stems from the college system. |
