Well Rice...

When I get on CC, Rice board is the first one that I visit. Rice has been one of my top 2 choices. But today, after receiving the decision and financial aid letters, I was deeply saddened.

I have always thought that Rice was generous with need based financial aid. I mean when Rice becomes $5k/year more expensive than NU, 4k Duke, 2k Emory, it really leaves me no choice. Hell even Case offered me more aid. It is not that the cost is some un-payable amount, it is rather the fact that Rice offered me the least aid out of all the schools I have been accepted thus far.

Well, good bye to this board, I guess

Oh well, 2 spots for the wait-listed!

Ya, if you can pay the money, Rice doesn't offer much aid.
The same thing happened with me, our family has just enough money to not get aid; however, I'm the first of four children... but they're not in college, so it has no effect... yet. =/
