Shipping to incoming frosh?

Will new students likely have the ability to ship items/parcels to themselves at Rice in advance of O-Week? Nothing in the packet and S2 will likely fly in without accompanying family; thus, shipping would be very useful.

Nothing in today's packet regarding this. Perhaps it will be included in information once a college is assigned?

Thanks!

I doubt you'll be able to ship big belongings to your respective college prior to O-week. All the colleges have coordinators who deal with mail but their office space is limited to small packages and not big boxes. Furthermore, specific colleges are not even letting current students store items in their basements due to renovations.

Although paying the fee really sucked, I paid extra for my super big luggage. I'm from New York and I thought it was impossible but everything worked out.

You can't ship anything until after O-Week. I suppose if you know someone in Houston you could ship to them.
