Dont take my word for gold since I am only a senior in high school but all of your stats are in the right place. You have good ECs and as long as your essays are top notch you should have a good chance at acceptance(nothing is ever guaranteed however)

As to your first question, YES, Houston is an AMAZING place to get into business and IB and to get get top notch internships. It is 2nd in the country(only losing to NYC of course) for the most Fortune 500 companies and major IB firms and Houston is an ever growing city where the opportunities will only expand. Even in these hard economic times, Houston and Texas have remained on top.

You definitely get the opportunity to interview at BAML, GS, UBS, JPM, CS, and some of the other BBs from Rice. In fact, a few people I know have super days with the New York branches as well, so don't feel like you would just be limited to working in Houston.
