Everything you wanted to know about the residential colleges
The Rice Standard just did a massive survey of the campus to learn about the residential college system at Rice. In conjunction with that, they also are publishing an article on every residential college throughout this week (it's Willy Week at Rice – the biggest week of the year here). Six colleges are up, and three more will go up tomorrow, with Duncan and McMurtry getting published on Friday (founding order)

@jon 314.. yeah thanks a lot.. i had no idea there was a rice magazine.. i have subscribed to the thresher.. but i wish i had seen this before applying.. would have been really useful for the why rice essay..
Also, I should make an important note. As said in the article, nearly everyone loves their residential college, and nearly everyone thinks their college is the best. All of them have their strengths, and all of them have their weaknesses. So if and when you get placed into a residential college at Rice, you'll have reason to be proud, regardless of whether you're placed at Jones or Wiess.
