as hollow as I know this will sound, a safety school can yield unexpected results. I'm at Cal State Fullerton right now, not enjoying it (that's a long story for another time), and it was my safety school. I tried to be optimistic but it still wasn't very good for me. But there was so much less pressure that I was able to make my own leaps and bounds as an actor. Plus the whole college experience and some personal issues have turned me into a better, self-sufficient more mature person and artist. I'm happy to be transferring in the state I am.
Long story short, even though things may not go the way you want them to, there's always something good that can come out of it, as cheesy as that sounds.

Best of luck with your final school, and a knock on wood for good measure. : )

I am not going to Roosevelt. I'm going to UArts.
I was just telling my personal story that a backup school isn't always a bad thing. : )
