Hi there. The computer science program seems pretty good. The major adviser I talked to at freshman orientation said there are a lot of job opportunities for CS majors after they graduate.
Regarding the social life... it is what you make of it. If you want to stay locked up in your room all day and do nothing, then it's your choice. If you want to make lots of friends and party a lot, then it's your choice. The social life is available to those who want it, and to those who do choose to have it, it looks very fulfilling. There are parties aplenty, and plus, the school hosts events called "Aztec Nights" during the first month of the semester for students to mingle and socialize and have fun.
