Duke TIP? SAT in 7th grade?

I took the SAT in seventh grade through a program from duke university and i was wondering if there is anybody that can give me feed back on their scores in the seventh gradeand if they have took the SAT in later grades and what they made.
My scores:
Math: 500
Critical Reading: 450
Writing: 410
Essay: 8

P.S The essay was about stress lol

Your scores are decent for a 7th grader. Actually, they are great!

So your well on your say to SAT success ! I was in the TIP program too and received a similar score. I'm doing much better now .

What did you make on the SAT? Assuming that you are in highschool and have taken the SAT.

^I am in HS but I haven't taken a real SAT yet. I am doing about 500 points better than I did in 7th grade (a conservative estimate based on practice tests).

Cty jhu

Your score is average for 7th grade.

For CTY JHU summer program you need to score 510 CR and/or 580 Math.

For CTY JHU Grand Award you need 700 CR or 700 Math

In 2007 - 480 students in 7th grade who got Grand Award, 59 achieved perfect score
In 2008 - 540 students in 7th grade who got Grand Award, 54 achieved perfect score,
In 2009 - 625 students in 7th grade who got Grand Award, 140 achieved perfect score.

^ What seniors should have said was your score MAY BE average for TIP. JHU will have different scores from Duke based on different states being averaged. Your scores are above what is expected from 7th grades.

OP, there is a long thread with the numbers you are looking for. I can never do the cc search, but you might have more luck.

I could have gone to the Duke summer program but i didnt go. I think 3 people that took the SAT with me(that i know of) got some type of honors thing because of their SAT score. The odd thing is that i make better grades then all 3 of them. But ine of my questions is do you think i can get my SAT's to the 2100 range if i keep good a good gpa? My gpa through middle school is 3.9- 4.0 i never made a B.

Want to hear my progression?

7th:
Math - 380
Reading - 410
Writing - 450

8th:
Math - 510
Reading - 530
Writing - 490

10th:
Math - 670
Reading - 660
Writing - 550

11th:
Math - 720
Reading - 670
Writing - 670

12th:
Math - 720

7th grade SAT scores didn't predict too much for me! Don't worry!

anyone taking the SAT's in 7th grade definitely has the potential to score well into the 99th percentile in high school.

My friend took the SAT in 7th grade ... he scored around a 1500, I think.

Now he's in 11th grade (rising junior) and he got around 2200. So you'll definitely be fine!
