Important Question regarding SAT l and SAT ll!!!

JustCrownedJustCrowned Posts: 49Registered User Junior Member
Hello! I'm am an upcoming senior with one more chance at the SAT this fall. Currently, I have a 2120 SAT l score (same as superscore): (670 Reading, 770 Math, and 680 Writing) and my 3 SAT ll's are: (800 Math ll, 680 US History, and 630 Bio M).

With only one more test date, should I try to increase my SAT l to perhaps 2250+ to be more competitive? Or should I redo my SAT subject tests since I need at least two scores above 700? I can pay for 3 subject tests, and I'll probably redo US History and Bio M, and maybe go for a Bio E or a Language. ACT btw is 31, also redoing that. Thank you for your time!

I would work on your subject test, depending on the schools you're applying to, your SAT score seems fairly high. To show you are competitive, work on your US history and especially Biology.

Hey, I appreciate your reply! I am definitely applying to top tier schools, ex: Ivy League, Duke, maybe M.I.T. I play on going to med school though, so I'm also looking at Vandy, Emory, John Hopskins, and UAB.

    Hi:)

Unless you are applying Ed or rea, there are two more sat test dates: the October and November ones. Some universities may even accept the January date, although I wouldn't depend on taking it then. If I were you, I would retake the subject tests in october, then your sats in November. However, if you feel you didn't do well on the October subject tests you could always retake again in november (this is my plan for the sat physics).

    Good Luck!

Also, you can't take bio e and m on the same date! Just look through all the question to see which test looks easier:)

I'd forget about the SAT I and focus on the ACT and SAT subject tests... There's no point on prepping for both the SAT I and ACT at this point. Applications are going to be released soon, and instead of wasting some time on prepping for an extra test you don't need, you can spend time on perfecting your essays.

xcvsfvfvfeve what's with people's attachment to the freakin' SAT I? -.-

Hey, thanks for your thoughts! Haha, I do realize you can't take both Bios, no idea why I wrote that in my original post. I am considering Early Action, but probably not ED.
