I generally recommend all my students against studying SAT vocab lists. It's usually not worth the time and you can get a lot more bang-for-your-buck with learning Greek and Latin roots, as well as common prefixes and suffixes. Attempting to memorize SAT word lists doesn't guarantee that the words you do cram into your brain will be on the test, in which case you just wasted a ton of time that could have been spent studying general concepts that are guaranteed to appear.
You might want to look into study software. It is really useful for learning new vocabulary and will give you an edge for studying in college. Study Genius Software is the highest rated software and comes with an ACT and SAT vocabulary list.
even though if you do memorize the whole thing, you'll have no problem, I memorized about 1.5k words TOTAL and I get 19/19 like 85% of the time on vocab.
@Kyrix1 its very possible, my friend did it in about a week and I did it in about 3 weeks. So long as you are determined, you can do it. But knowing the words don't just cut it, you also have to know how to use them, so be sure to read the sentences!!
3.5k words in 1 week. That's 500 words a day. Though I highly doubt someone would retain that knowledge for more than like a month, I give my plaudits.
