Is Barrons' harder than the actual SAT?

Hi, first time around I got a 1970 score on the SAT, and ever since have been practicing with barron's book. I keep getting about 2000, which seems kind of low. But from what I hear, the Barron's test is harder?

Is it actually true? I really do want to do well, been going through tests like crazy over the summer.

Im currently preping with Barrons and I think its much harder, but I havent heard of anybody who has studied with it and then taken the actual test. My score in Barrons is much lower than what I scored on my first SAT

I felt that they were easier ... and lacking difficulty accuracy, in the 2nd maths question they the #8 is supposed to be the hardest in the Multiple Answers Questions, yet I solved it in a min ... So I think they varry a bit from harder to easier ( the tests )

I have not used a single Barron's SAT book that was not harder than the actual test. They tend to give you information that you need to know and make test questions harder than is actually on the test.

I'm not saying that's a bad thing. There harder you study now, the more it will pay off, I promise.

Barron's is a lot harder in every single on of their books. In fact, I think all of their books are bad (I have used all of them). Sometimes harder is not good...a la Barrons SAT II Math is a ton harder and has concepts that are way superfluous. Also their CR workbook is about 100 points too hard and is just not accurately formatted.

Barron's practice tests are a ittle harder than the actual SAT. The College Board "Blue Book" is very similar to the SAT. Keep working hard, you will do great. Best of luck!
