How much is too much?

Sent two SATs (composite about 20 pts higher)

One ACT (very slightly higher than SAT composite but one score brought down composite so wanted to have all scores for scholarship/and or cutoff purposes)

On the fence for a few schools, just signed up for last ACT. Does this look like overkill for colleges (did not take any subject tests). Am actually sending around deadline so will not have opportunity to review results first...

Thanks.

Unless you have a reason to believe your existing scores dont represent your ability I wouldnt retest. It takes time, money, and isnt likely to improve your chances.

As far as what scores to transmit with your app, I think it will usually help you to send as much info as you have. Some schools may pick the best performance from each section. Some may not. As long as you dont have anything truely humbling in the mix just transmit them all.

Thanks...actually the one area that he feels he "bombed" he did much better on practice tests just lost it with time etc. Top school superscores ACT so he is hoping to pull up that section considerably to boost composite score.

You don't have to send in all of your scores, just choose the highest ones.
