High score, low math - how will this affect me?

SAT attempt 1: 580-M, 730-CR, 670-W = 1980
SAT attempt 2: 640-M, 700-CR, 710-W = 2050
Superscore: 640-M, 730-CR, 710-W = 2080

I was beyond excited to finally cross the 2000 mark and almost reach my 2100 goal, but, as you can see, my math score doesn't fit in too well with my CR & writing scores.

What I'm worried about is if this will affect me in applying to places that only take CR & M, as I only have a 1370 and don't even qualify for the honors program at my safe schools like U of Pitt because of it. Should I retake the SAT in attempt to increase my math (which I don't even know if I'd be able to do at all), or am I just worrying too much?

I have a similar problem (high reading, low math). I'm definitely worrying.

Don't want schools thinking I'm a one trick pony. >.>

These are great scores..96% percentile. That should be fine to get you into pitt.

Take some practice SAT tests for just the math test. If you can fairly consistently score at least 30 points above your current score, then retake them. Otherwise there isnt much point....go with what you have. You wouldnt be the first student where math isnt your strongest subject..thats like 80% of us.
