| How will my low writing score hurt my chances at top-tier schools?
By "low" I mean a 6. I'm actually really good at writing, and usually get a high A on all of my papers without a problem. All of my teachers have even gone out of their way to tell me that I'm a great writer. My guess is that I'm just bad at writing on the spot, since I'm so particular about my writing (especially introductions) and think it through so carefully.
I've taken the test twice, here are my score reports from each:
1: 35 English, 35 Math, 35 Reading, 27 Science, 33 Composite
2: 34 English, 35 Math, 34 Reading, 34 Science, 34 Composite
So, there's no problem with my multiple choice scores; just the writing. My grades/recs are great, and my essay should be too. Is that one score going to seriously hurt my chances?
