SAT 1 question.

Hello, so I am from Canada and looking for a college/university in the States. I am scheduled to do a SAT1 test (Reading,Math,Writing) on January 26,2013. Would that be too late to apply to a college/university?

Also, do most college/universities accept just SAT1 test score?

You should check the colleges' websites on testing deadlines, since they can differ. I'm assuming you're a senior/12th grade?

Is there a reason you are not taking it earlier since there are still Nov and Dec test dates? About 30 colleges require subject tests, and then there are some that recommend or consider them; otherwise most colleges do not use subject tests to determine admission and SAT is all that is needed. However, a large number of colleges, probably the majority, require testing to be completed by Dec and then the rest accept through the Jan test so you have to check each college to which you are applying to determine if Jan test is OK. Also, regardless of whether they accept Jan test, you still must get your application in by early Jan for most colleges. In other words, even if Jan test is accepted, you cannot delay submitting the application for admission and other needed materials such as transcripts and recommendation letters.
