SAT ESSAY length!

For those who have received 10 or higher on the essay portion...

Do you usually write 2 body paragraphs or 3 body paragraphs?

Always two.

One about literature (was always Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart) and one about history.

one paragraph for intro, one for body and (sometimes one for another example)--filled up both pages with small font. Just remember about 10 examples and elaborate on one example or two.

A kid named Milo Beckmann did a study on this when he was 14 actually. His conclusion was something like if you fill up the entire space given you are almost guaranteed a 10. It was like a .000001% chance this was due to luck. It's probably easier on the reader if you used 3 examples; I did 3 and got an 11

Just use 2. Don't struggle to find a third one if you don't have one and even if you do just use the two that you can write the most about.
