I need to get my scores to the colleges before December 1st. I'm taking the November 3rd SATs. I'm planning to report the scores directly from Collegeboard. I used a fee waiver for my first 2 exams and i paid for my 3rd exam and i would like to use all 12 free score reports. When should i send it? Does it take long for it to send to the colleges? I"m not sure how this reporting scores work so someone help me?

Actually a better question would be... How long will the colleges receive the scores when i send them from collegeboard?

I believe they send the scores as soon as they are available. I think it's digital, so it's pretty quick. Usually they have a grace period for the scores to come out.

Yeah i know but i meant when will the colleges receive it when the scores come out? right away or 5-7 days? or what?

What colleges are you talking about? Those with a Nov 30 or Dec 1 deadline generally accept the Nov test even if it arrives after the application deadline. Moreover, a number of those, such as the UCs and CSUs accept through the Dec test date. In any event, if you designate a college in your test application as one to receive scores upon release, they will be electronically delivered to such colleges on or up to two days before the day you receive your scores on-line.

Also note you do not have 12 free sends that you can designate now. The four free sends to colleges are test specific and once a score comes out they are forfeited. You thus have only four free sends that you can designate now as part of your Nov test application.

I know that if you want you can send it really fast but it costs like 33 extra dollars or something like that

I did the quick send and it got there in like a day and i got a confirmation email from the school . but if you send them non quick response it will take 1 to 2 weeks

yeah my deadline is December 1st and i'm taking the November SATs.. Maybe i should wait until my score comes out at the end of November? or should i just submit it early anyway and they will pick the highest scores regardless?
