Will my TOEFL score increase my chances of admission?

I was born in another country, but I've lived here for 11 years. Some of the colleges I'm applying to require or highly recommend sending in a TOEFL score if the applicant's first language is not English, so I took the iBT TOEFL and scored a 118. A perfect score is 120. Will this help me in the admissions process?

Its nice you got that but I don't think TOEFL is meant to show you are competitive, SATs and GPAs do that already. Its just to show you are English proficient which you obviously are.
