Waiting on October Scores with a Nov. 15 deadline

I have two applications due on the 15th. I know that the scores for the October test date come in on the 13th. If I scored lower on this test, which is a definite possibility, would the schools receive my older test scores in time if I sent them via the priority method? Basically my question is, should I send my other scores ahead of time just in case or not? What is holding me back is if these new scores are better they might still judge me for lower scores. Not only this but it complicates things because I wouldn't know where to make sure they are evaluating the right scores. How long did it take for schools to receive your scores if you sent them priority for 16 dollars? What about regular for 11?

DD also has applications due on the 15th and is waiting for October ACT scores. She sent the earlier scores already and will have the new one sent only if it is better than the earlier one.

I'm not sure where you are applying however most of the schools my son has applied to have a section that states what the highest ACT and or SAT scores they have on file for him. I would send in the score you have and then if the new score is higher send it in. It seems like at most of the schools it only takes a couple of days for the new scores to be updated. Also just because the deadline is the 15th doesn't mean they are going to look at your application and make a decision on that date. So if you have a score on file and then a higher one comes in they will use that one when they look at your application.

Many colleges' admissions websites specifically say NOT to send scores Priority, as it actually takes longer than the automatic periodic electronic transmissions they get as a matter of course.

I believe this school is online. When would it get there if I sent on via regular Monday? What about Tuesday at 11pm (basically wed)?

When you go to send the scores if there is an "E" after it they are sending them electronically. Most colleges are that way. So far the only college my son has applied to where it wasn't was Colorado School of Mines.. I think most likely if you send it now it should make it by the 15th. However if you wait much longer it won't.
