SAT vs ACT

SAT, ACT, or both? Pros and cons-and any tips? If I were to take both, my goal would be to get good scores to send to colleges to show my consistency in good test taking. Any thoughts?

The most common suggestion is to take both tests, and see which you do better on. Some score similarly on the tests, and from that point it's your choice which one to prep for. Others score much higher on one test. Remember, Stanford requires you to send all scores, so make sure you're ready before you take a standardized test for the first time.

If you don't have the PSAT and PLAN to compare options take free practice tests from one of the test prep companies, that way you can compare tests without having a low score on a real test that you might be required to report later on.
