AliJamali, my advice is that you submit your sat score. I'm sure that it's really easy to check whether a person took the test. If you clearly explain your situation I think (better to say hope) your toefl score will make up the sat results.

If they gave you an option not to submit the SAT for whatever reason, don't submit it. Your SAT score isn't competitive.

It depends where you're applying to. Is it possible for you to take a gap year or rewrite the SAT after doing some hardcore studying? I hate the writing section myself but you sound smart and if you prep for it, you'll have a good chance.

Thank you for all advices!
I decided to submit them. Cause I think considering my situation they will understand why I got so low. I have a unique background and I am a minority. so I have the hope of getting in. By the way, here in Iran , we study the lessons you have on the last grade of high school , in the 6th grade!!!

I think of the two options you mentioned #1 seems to be better.
However this is a tricky situation and both of them seem to be trouble, it's just the matter of picking which one will be less troublesome.
Not sure about this, but is ACT offered in your country?
I would honestly suggest that you do either one of these -
1. Send SAT Score + Attach additional essay about the problem you faced in taking the SATs and how you tried your best.

2. Call the admissions office. Ask for the contact details of the regional officer for your area. And tell him your problem. Im guessing he'd know best. Tell him the whole situation - that you cant take it due to financials and ask for advice.

Hope it helps.
All the best

Trust me that SAT Score is low for any Ivy. I'm sure they are other people who have traveled from Iran to write SAT and have Ivy standard scores. Don't submit it! They only allow it for people from disadvantaged homes and I mean really disadvantage. i.e. you lot your parents, you hawk or something else. You clearly are none of them and you are expected to have Ivy standard grades. Your TOEFL is good leave it as that. How will they find out if you didn't send it, what are they College Board. Besides the Admissions officer of the school already gave you a go ahead. or You can try to study hard for the December SAT but it might not be sufficient time . Some Ivys may accept the January SAT but just a few.
