Ap Help

this maybe the most basic of questions, but it has been bugging me for a while.

how does it look to colleges if you take an AP test and get a 2, rather than not taking the test at all?

All my freinds keep saying that it doesn't hurt you if you fail the AP test because colleges dont factor that into their decision, but I am not too sure about that.

Yeah, a 2 looks bad no matter how you slice it. If you're not able to get at least a 3, don't take it.
