Fang Jr's finally came yesterday.

nanomug: It means your son will be either commended or a National Merit semifinalist. Congratulations to him!

The last few years, the cutoff for semifinalist in California has been around 217, so your son is unlikely to make that cut. But commended is great.

Got mine today 223 SC.

It was in an envelope addressed to my house, but my school had it, so that would explain why some people have not gotten them.

yesSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! i got 202!!
that mean i'm commended right?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my friends w/ higher score got them at school so i was sooo scared
i'm not commended...........yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as long as you have a 200 you're commended. there's no need to worry. i have 206 and havent gotten the letter. it will vary depending on schools.
