| 70 More Points = worth it? I'm not going to retake my SAT's, I'm just wondering if you guys think my retaking the test was worth it. Seventy points.. is it worth it?
First try: 2190 (75 math, 76 writing, 68 CR)
2nd: 2260 (74 math, 79 wr, 73 cr)
just want some opinions thats all. AP's and SATII's are over so i have a lot of time on my hands |

| i know i'll sound pretty whiney
but i kind of expected better scores both times
for the math and critical reading sections anyway :/
i was kind of disappointed that my highest score was writing, which is not as "important" in my opinion |

| Oh. Thanks i guess. I just don't feel like it's necessary. Do you think it's necessary. I mean, I guess I'm shooting for Stanford, since my SAT is around the 2250 area.
People say once you hit a certain range (>2250), the reason that you won't be accepted at HYPS will not be because of your "low" SAT score. |

| And since Stanford superscores you effectively raised your score by 90 points to 2280. Looks like a good choice to me. |

| Please stop bragging. It's obvious that you know it's worth it; if you are intelligent enough to get that high a score, you should be smart enough to tell that this looks like bragging. |

| Wow, i totally did not intend to come off as arrogant, i'm sorry! There are THOUSANDS of people with higher scores, why would I brag?
I was actually wondering where exactly the "threshold" SAT score lies - people claim that once past a certain point, additional points do not help your application much. Like, it's more worthwhile to focus on other activities. |
