| Retake? I have a fairly decent SAT I score (2320), but I know I could have done better, especially with a 730 CR score, which I typically get around 770 on for practice tests. I originally signed up for the May test to retake, but my counselor dissuaded me, saying that retaking might be viewed as a waste of time since the score is good enough already. That 730 CR score still irks me though. Is it worth it to retake just to up that CR score? Will top colleges really care? >>
Thanks in advance. |

| Uh, I was going to retake a 2340 until I realized (thanks to some people here, as well), that it doesn't matter. A 2320 is a great score. It's not going to keep you out of anywhere, it's 99+ %ile. Pat yourself on the back and move on. You're done with the SAT. |

| Whats you math score? I think it depends on your MATH + CR score (old score). If its below 1500, then I would say yes retake it. If not, then don't worry about it. |

| If she has a 2320, she cannot have anything less than a 1500 m+v. |

| Math score is 790. My writing score is highest (800), but I don't know if it's taken into account as heavily :| |

| I'm in a similar situatation: my highest is my writing (800). But, really, your 1520 m+v is amazing. If you want to retake for personal pride, by all means, do so. Just don't do it under the false pretense that it will significantly increase your chance of admittance at your college of choice. |

| Don't retake. You're over with your SATs. 2320 is much more than outstanding! Give yourself a treat or prize for your hard work. =). |
