at least 2200 SAT score possible?

i recently scored 182 on a practice PSAT test. i'm a rising junior. do you think it would be possible to get a 220 on the PSAT this october, or a 2200 on the SAT this october? or would that 2200 score be feasible during the March SATs? thanks for your help.

I can neither read your mind nor fully assess your academic talents or abilities. I will say, though, that you should study and practice assiduously in order to reach your personal best.

it all depends on how hard you are willing to work. I went up 100 points the 2nd time I took the SAT.

A 2200 may be possible, with a lot of practice. I got a 170 on the PSAT as a sophomore and got a tutor for the SAT. After seeing the tutor for a month and a half leading up to the SAT, I scored a flat 2000 on SAT. So like I said, it is tough to rise the score by so much, but is not at all impossible.

Totally possible. I got a 182 my sophomore year on the PSAT, a 210 on the "real" psat beginning of junior year, and a 2200 on the real SAT the end of junior year. The only thing is, every question counts. I missed 2 on the math and the writing sections, and that brought me down to a 72 and 73, respectively. Just study a little bit and do your best, a lot of it is luck when the margins are that slim between NMSF and commended.

Yep, I'd say it is definitely possible to get at least 2200 on your SATs. Each time I took the PSAT, I scored around 180-ish. With the same type of preparation (little to none), I scored 2200 on my SATs on the 2nd time around. The first time was a 2070. I think maybe I just felt a lot more pressure to do better because I never considered PSATs to be super important, even though I knew I could have gotten merit scholarships...

GOOD LUCK!

Yes, I think it's definately possible. In my sophomore year I got a 158 on my PSAT and a 168 in my junior year. When I took the SAT last month after a moderate amount of studying I managed to get a 1940 and I'm working on getting a 2100 (hopefully!) I think if you study hard, it's possible. I'm not sure how much a tutor would help, but if you can afford one it could be beneficial, but nothing can replace practicing on your own.

One thing that you should probably consider is what happened during the test day. Because the SAT is a reasoning test, you must be sharp in order to do your very best on the reading comprehension questions. Thus, if you had not gotten enough sleep the night before, you might not have performed well. If you HAD gotten enough sleep the night before you might have easily been able to achieve a significantly higher score. If this is true, then getting a 220 might not be such a lofty goal after all.

I got a 176 on my PSAT when I was a sophomore. I later got a 208 as a junior and got a 2000 on my SAT. Then I retook the SAT my senior year and got a 2210. So I guess it's possible...
