Do Colleges combine ACT like they combine SAT scores?

Just wondering.
I know they don't combine SAT with ACT's duh, but do they combine 2 different ACTS for the highest score or no?

Depends on the school. Most schools do not combine ACT scores. All schools DO combine SAT scores ("superscore"). When we visited Washington and Lee last week, during the interview the admissions person told our D that they DO combine the best ACT scores from all tests taken. So, they superscore. But I don't know of any others. We have only looked at 5 or 6 schools. Hope this helps.

All schools do not superscore the SAT's. The UC system does not. You may use only the highest overall score from one sitting.

Most superscore the SAT, but not all. I asked the admissions people from a lot of different schools and all of them said they don't do the same with the ACT, which sucks for me because I'd have a composite point higher if they did. But some schools do apparently, you just have to ask.
