reporting SAT scores

sooo.. College Board gives four free score reports when you register, and I guess my question is: Was I supposed to use them? Parrrdon my ignorance.

I took my first test this January and I thought score reporting was reserved for, you know, when you apply to college (I plan to make full use of the free score reports come November..) so i left that part blank because i could see the college receiving my scores only to say "who?"

Apparently, a lot of people sent them to (random) colleges.

Long post made simple, do juniors, etc who aren't yet applying to college generally send their scores anywhere?

You have this option to send scores to schools you are interested in. This puts you on their radar and lets them know you are interested in applying.
