Yup. That's what I got. You're right
C7H6O2 - taht's the molecular AND empirical. Pwned.
And both WERE 122.
7(12)+6+2(16)=122
We're right...everyone else is wrong. Take that, byotches! W000t. |

#62 | | | Yeah, I got 7,6, and 2. And [Al(OH)4]- is correct, it's an exception to the rule that the number of ligands is generally a multiple of the charge of the cation. Our chem teacher made sure we knew that one.

#63 | | | i did 6.1 x 10^ 2 also because of sig figs. (For K... don't know which problem that was)
for the 1st acid base equilibrium...
i think i got a pretty high concentration for something... like 14Mish.. for something??
and [H+] was liek 5.5 x something? i dont' remember.. :S
I'm pretty sure i got a 5 though.

| Hey, does anybody know how many points Solubility (the one with the three solutions), Flame test (wooden stick), and the section with formal charge will be worth, approxiamately?
Just the individual parts, not the whole problems...
Thanks. |

| splints is probably 1 point each, solubility part probably 3-4 points total, and the formal charge thing is probably 2 points |

| I already said the answers for the flame tests:
Flame tests:
1. N2 - Flame is turned down. Sometimes there is brown fumes coming out.
2.H2 - Small combustion with a "pop" sound
3.O2- flame rekindles. |

| The empirical formula was C7H6O2.
The molecule is benzene with a carboxyl functional group (COOH) attached. The molecular mass was about 121-122. |
