| June SAT I MATH PROBLEM ..DO YOU REMEMBER
i got square root of 30 for the last problem in one of the long math sections. did anyone else have this problem? it involved using the distance formula.
also does anyone have the answer for #8, the last of the non-grid-ins in the grid-in section.

all i know is it was the very last question on one of the long math sections (i had two long math sections, one was experimental)
the question involved first finding the values of a point, and then using that and some other given point, find the distance between the points with the distance formula

You didn't have to use the distance formula tho... but yeah i put sqrt 30 as well...
was that the -2x+2 one? I found the area of the small triangle (the unshaded region) added that to make a big triangle then solved k using the triangle area formula

Was it the one about the parabola with y=-x^2+5? There was a line connecting the top of the parabola (0,5) to the positive x-intercept (root5,0), and the question asked for its length.

Yeah, I remember that question now. And now I remember getting:
d = sqrt[ (5)^2 + (sqrt(5))^2 ] = sqrt[25 + 5]
So, yeah... sqrt[30] is also what I got.
