For those of you who have gotten your letters, how are you deciding which schools to send the info to?

I got my letter today at school. I'm in MD and got a 208, so I'm probably just a commended student. The office called me down out of class to hand me the letter, they didn't even really seem to know what it was. But I have one question: since we can send the scores to two schools, would it be best to send them to reach schools? I imagine that would at least show the school you're interested, but would it really do much? I mean, if I were to send it to like an ivy league or something, would it even matter? I imagine a lot of people send their scores to ivy league schools and people who apply there and did not become a commended student are actually in the minority.

Letter arrived - now what to do?

Has anyone gone through the process before? Is there a rhyme/reason in selecting what 2 schools to send scores to if your student is still in the exploring options stage and undecided on who they want to send them to? what happens when a school gets the notification/report? will this make a difference in scholarship considerations or in acceptance considerations? what does it really mean?

As long as you scored 201+, you should be fine.

"hmm, no letter, should i be worried? "

Not yet: Some schools take their time in delivering the notifications. I know a school that will be delivering the letters in May. Wait couple of weeks or ask your GC. Best wishes!
