lol, i was talking to my counselor about something irrelevant to this today, and he just mentioned in passing that in like a week hell distribute letters lol. so some schools do distribute them later.

Just Monday I asked the GC about it, and he had no idea what I was talking about. Magically appears on Tuesday.

Any updates on what you think the nationwide Commended score cut-off is? I got a 204 -- is that enough?

I think the cut off is 201 or more. I received a 200 and everyone from my school has received their letters.

Why is there such a big discrepancy among when the letters are released?

Mail doesn't travel to all parts of the country on the same day, and schools don't handle mail internally with the same urgency.

204 made it. I'm thinking the cutoff this year is 201, based on what I've read here. So, congrats, jacob!

Yeah the cutoff is 201, it says on the letter.

I got 201

Doubt I'll make it any further, unless VA standards are pretty low.

I do not see that cutoff listed on my daughter's letter. Either,

1) It is there and I'm overlooking it. My daughter got 2 pieces of paper: one is the letter that begins "Dear student" and the other is the CPRS form to choose 2 schools. -OR-

2) Your guidance office gave you another piece of paper/information that contained the information that was specifically for the guidance office.

The 201 cut off score was in the letter to the scohool administrator. Our principal gave D both her letter and his.
