1st-try "New SAT 1" score vs 2nd-try "New SAT 1" score?

For the NEW SAT 1 with M, V, and writing combined, please provide your 1st-try total score (e.g., first taken this past March) and your 2nd-try total score.

IMPORTANT: Please ALWAYS post your 1st score first, followed by your 2nd score in this format:

xxxx/yyyy

I cannot slice & dice the data unless I can be assured that I can differentiate the 1st-try from the 2nd-try.

Also, if you have any personal anecdotes about change in any component of the total score or suspected reasons why scores changed (e.g., used the Xiggi method between tests), this info may be helpful to new readers.

As the data accumulate, I will compile and analyze like I did for the PSAT vs New SAT thread:
New SAT scores vs PSAT scores?

BUT, we need enough posts to make the analysis interesting & credible.

REMEMBER: 1st score followed by 2nd score!

Only test-takers that would have actual scores for this thread are March SAT1 takers who also took the May SAT1. June scores should be back in a couple of weeks.

So any actual score pairs out there?

ps.....Vehement.....thanks for posting w/ the right format

You could compare Old SAT I to New SAT I scores--just multiply the Old SAT score by 1.5. Anyway, if you decide to do that, I have two scores to give you:

1540 (January 2005)/2320 (May 2005)

GDWilner-- your idea would likely result in much more data, however I'd like to stick with the NEW SAT format, so we are talking apples to apples (i.e., inclusion of writing) and hopefully avoiding confusion.

OK, so far we have one data set from glinda.......

Well when I took it in March it was in the middle of our musical performances (in which I had the lead) so I was sooo exhausted. That's the reason my first test was lower than my second. I didn't do any prep for either except a few Kaplan tests...

Okay, this is interesting...my S scored:

2200/2310

March (CR 800, M710, WR 690, 11 essay)
May (CR 800, M800, WR 710, 11 essay)

No prep for a number of reasons posted previously on another thread. He took it again because he felt that he left some points on the table. He was mad that another student had a tutor for a year and scored higher on the March sitting. He's competitive...a good student...decided to focus...enough said. As for the tired factor, the May sitting was the same week of brutal AP testing and spring sport, so who knows.
