retaking sat subject tests?

i recently took the us history subject test and was not happy with my score. i think that i can do better so i was wanting to retake it. but i heard that there are schools (top-notch ones) that require you to submit all the sat, sat II scores, and i dont want this particular one on my record. do you know which colleges require all the scores? and does it matter if you took the subject tests more than once? also, is it better to spread out the fields to show that your versatile: like not all science ones

Retake the History SAT test and submit the higher score. You don't have to show the lower one.

If the school doesn't acknowledge score choice I don't think you can hide it right?

If you took let's say literature Subject Test in June and got a 400 and took it again in October and got an 750, would the college see both attempts (this college does not acknowledge score choice) or would the 800 replace the 400?
