Send SAT, ACT, or both? Retake SAT?

SAT: 670cr, 690m, 760w
ACT: 28english (26 combined with essay), 26reading, 29science, 34math

i want to major in something math/science. so what should i send?

also, i want to apply to the very top liberal arts colleges, which i heard heavily emphasize the critical reading section... should i retake the SAT(that i´ve only taken once) in the fall just for that section (as i have a 760writing and a 34math/770math2 subject test)? keep in mind i´m applying early decision and i´m golden in all other areas of the app (including a slight athletic tip). thanks in advance!

First i would like to mention that scores aren't everything. I got accepted into the top LACs with very similar scores.

"keep in mind i´m applying early decision and i´m golden in all other areas of the app (including a slight athletic tip)."

I'd say that as long as you have strong essays/recs/gpa/ecs you will have a great chance. Are you a runner by any chance? Make sure you get in touch with coaches because their connections can certainly help...it did for me.

I would suggest you send both your SAT and the ACT. You have fairly solid scores for the "english" section on your SATs and strong Math/Sci on the ACT.

Good Luck!

yeah, i'm a runner and have met with several coaches. one of them recently said i should focus on improving my critical reading section; however, i was really happy to get a 670 and, thus, don't think i could improve on it that much.

basically i don't want to retake this stupid test. it's a waste of time.

thanks for the advice, but your name makes me a bit skeptical that you actually had similar scores...

Haha, my account name is an inside joke. Anyways, my scores were...

720 M
740 W
680 CR

I really capitalized on my essays and connected all of my EC's to elucidate my passions. Take the time you have now until the application process to brainstorm ideas for your essay.

Again... I wish you the best of luck.

So, nobody else thinks I should retake it? I´d rather just focus on writing essays.
