Aww!
Argh, I don't know how to boost my verbal like whoa. I hate being unbalanced (SAT-ically speaking)!

| Wow, in my county even the "advanced" kids aren't allowed to take algebra until 8th grade. I envy you.

theo: I was always really bad at english/writing/language arts until I was in high school, even though I never really read the books in school.
if you want to do well on the verbal SAT pick up a good vocabulary, I always had a good memory and I started studying for vocab tests before the late bell would ring in class just a few minutes before i would take them..I pretty much always got 100%. so I really got a good vocabulary there and that helped on the SAT verbal for me.
hamster: just wondering where you from? you really have no reason to envy me. I will admit that in middle school I thought I was hot **** because I was in math with people 2 years older than me, then I got out and found that there were kids my age learning calculus in high school/college, and that killed my ego. hah

student91: They'll delete them. If you take a test in high school and they aren't deleted, call them.
bubblekid: I do that for vocab tests, too. But I have a better short term memory than long term one for things like brute memorization. However, SC's are not the problem anyway. I only get a couple of them wrong - which I'm planning to change by my November SAT. It's the CR that gets me for some reason.

How's this for depressing?
8th grade: 33 composite (36 reading, 35 English, 33 science comp, 26 math)
11th grade: 33 composite (36 reading, 36 English, 30 science comp, 31 math)
I was pretty irritated in 11th grade when I opened the envelope to see the same score I had gotten in 8th...

(Told to me by a "friend"
6th SAT 570V 800M
7th ACT 21Eng 35Math 31Read 28Sci for a 29 composite
No higher grade scores yet. SAT scores have disappeared from College Board online records, but of course are recorded on paper. Member of SET.

A new year's SAT scores are out, so it will be interesting to see some more before-and-after comparisons.
